Starting June 30, 2025, Crestron Home OS 4.6 will be the final feature update for CP4-R and MC4-R Version 1 control processors.

• These processors will continue to operate normally and remain compatible with Crestron Home OS 4 apps.
• Version 1 hardware will support all devices released up to and including OS 4.6.
• New Crestron devices and features introduced after OS 4.6 will require an upgrade to Version 2 processors (CP4-R V2, MC4-R V2, or DIN-AP4-R).
• Critical bug fixes will be addressed through June 2026.

If needed, existing configurations can be easily migrated to newer processor models to take advantage of future features.

Driver Support

We will continue to support our drivers on Version 1 processors, ensuring compatibility with existing systems.

However, as a best practice, we recommend using Version 2 systems for all new installations and upgrades.

Version 2 hardware offers improved performance, future compatibility, and full access to new Crestron Home OS features moving forward.
